CLINICAL PILATES

At Platform 7 our small classes focus on building strength and endurance of your core and postural muscles using focussed breathing patterns. It aims to improve balance, flexibility and restore movement patterns post injury.

Our physiotherapists have trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institution and look forward to providing our clients with an individualised 10-week program.

Participants must book an initial assessment prior to starting their program.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a form of acupuncture that was derived from traditional Chinese medicine. It involves fine needles being inserted through the skin to stimulate trigger points that cause pain and movement impairments. Desensitising these trigger points can assist with myofascial pain, enhance healing, produce endorphins and overall restore patient function.

Dry needling has evidence-based support in the treatment of acute and chronic back pain,  pelvic girdle pain, knee osteoarthritis, lateral elbow pain and shoulder conditions.

WORKPLACE INJURIES

At Platform 7 Physiotherapy we are WorkCover accredited. We thoroughly assess the worker’s current physical abilities and work with our local GPs to help patients return to their pre-injury work duties in a safe and timely manner.

Physiotherapists work with their patients to develop a rehabilitation plan that helps to strengthen weakened muscles, restore joint range of movement and movement patterns. Our treatment plans also include pain management education, safe manual handling techniques, pacing activity and injury prevention strategies.
